The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and sinister influences growing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might seem unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, entering the secret base, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Planners parties.

Viewers can anticipate learning which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
